Khānqah

The Khānqah at ITA is dedicated to providing a space for Islahun-Nafs (self-correction), following the time-honored traditions of the Ahlul-Haq (Truth Bearers). Through the practices of Sulook, Tazkīyah, and Tassawuf, we offer a spiritual environment for individuals to purify their hearts and souls. Our teachings remain firmly rooted in the Shari’ah, staying clear of any Bidda’hs (innovations) while strictly adhering to the principles laid down by Islamic law.

The Khānqah’s mission is to nurture individuals in their quest for spiritual purity and moral excellence, helping them attain true success through submission to Allah’s guidance and the development of inner peace.

A Spiritual Center for Self-Reformation

"Verily, he who has reformed the nafs (soul) has attained success, and he who has impurified it has lost."

Surah Shams

True success, both in this world and the Hereafter, lies in the reformation of the nafs (soul). At ITA’s Khānqah, we focus on Islāh (self-reformation), which is the process of transforming the soul from a state of animality to true humanity. This spiritual journey is based on moral training (Tarbiyah), guiding individuals to eliminate harmful traits and cultivate virtues aligned with Islamic values.

The reformation of the nafs requires the opposition of emotional desires and the submission of these desires to the Aql(intellect), which, in turn, should be subservient to the Shar’iah (Islamic law). The struggle against unchecked desires is central to Mujāhadah, and through this effort, the individual ascends to a higher moral and spiritual state, transforming into a being who aligns with Insāniyah (true humanity) and ultimately attains a lofty status akin to that of the angels.
